Join us for Utah's Unclaimed Property Webathon, a statewide online treasure hunt dedicated to helping Utahns reconnect with lost money and property.
Throughout the day, we'll share interviews, success stories, educational content, and live updates across our social media channels, as we encourage Utahns to search for unclaimed property belonging to themselves, family members, friends, businesses, charities, and deceased relatives.
Unclaimed property can include forgotten bank accounts, uncashed checks, utility deposits, insurance proceeds, refunds, safe deposit box contents, and more. Every year, businesses report millions of dollars in unclaimed property to the state after losing contact with the rightful owner.
Participating is easy:
• Visit mycash.utah.gov and search your name.
• Search for family members, friends, businesses, and charities you care about.
• Share webathon content to help spread the word.
• Tag three friends in the comments on any webathon post for a chance to win one of 15 Amazon gift cards.
A past six-hour webathon helped return more than $1.9 million in unclaimed property, resulting in 9,695 properties claimed and 18,681 website visitors. Our goal is to help even more Utahns reconnect with money and property that rightfully belongs to them.
